Apple Computer is changing the role of computers in our lives. We in beautiful Transylvania County, North Carolina, say "welcome" to what's happening. As we enjoy the new ways we use our computers, we are challenged to learn and grow comfortable with the power of this creative tool we own. Not just a means to keep financial records or write an occasional letter, our Macs have become a source of enriching our lives through photography, music, video and graphic design. In addition, Apple continues to announce and deliver new technology that entertains and educates us with powerful access to the huge resources of the Internet. As residents of this mountain paradise, we are able to interact with our extended families and other people around the planet, with images and ideas, without leaving this beautiful place we live.
Our group is dedicated to learning together and growing in the use of our Macs. The new acquaintances and friendships we are building in the process are an added benefit to our coming together and listening to each other’s adventures and discoveries on this journey.
We have members at many age levels and welcome newcomers and guests. Currently we have two active SIGs (Special Interest Groups), one for Digital Photography and one for Basic Mac 101. In separate meetings, these are the places where intense discussion and study take place, where you can meet like-minded folks and immerse yourself in a learning experience that will deepen your interest and understanding of these special focus topics.

We’d love to hear from you – our goal is to provide information on topics that you want to investigate and learn about.
Companies that would like to address our premium-demographic audience are invited to contact us and tell us about your presentation idea. We welcome your participation and would like to help you make it success.
Come join us and learn something, meet some nice people and get your questions answered. We have some good Mac-centric knowledge in the group and enjoy helping each other.
MEETINGS:
The General Meeting is held at the Hampton Inn in Brevard on the second Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It is preceded by the Basic Mac 101 SIG which meets from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the same location The Digital Photo SIG meets on the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at varying locations.
